stone soup challenge

Een dag te laat, maar hier dan de hele stone soup. Meer fotoos staan op de site van ArtQuiltsAoundtheWorld, waar iedereen laat zien wat ze met de originele foto hebben gedaan. Alle werkstukken zijn naar 1 adres gestuurd waar ze in stukken worden geknipt en dan krijgen we allemaal verschillende stukken terug waar we weer 1 geheel van gaan proberen te maken.

A day too late, but here is my Stone soup. More pictures are on the AQAtW blog where everybody shows their soup. It was all sent to one person, who will cut it up. We will all get different pieces back to make a new top. So this will be continued.

encaustic

Ik ben heel druk met mijn eindopdracht van de kursus quilten speciaal, en verder is het leven zelf ook niet rustig :-) Maar volgende week ga ik met een paar vriendinnen de workshop encaustic weer ophalen, lekker een hele dag bezig zijn met iets heel anders.

I am very busy with my final homework from a course, and life itself is also busy busy busy. But next week I will be having my own refresher workshop with two friends in encaustic. Looking forward to a day of fun. This one I made during the workshop from Daniella Woolf.

dying white quilts

This little quilt I originally intended to make for the artquilts around the world group. But because I wanted to quilt it by hand I could not finish it in time. The theme was when land and sea meet, and I made the houses on land. Sometimes when see and land meet there are floods, so I threw it in a blue dyebath.

Dit quiltje is onderdeel van mijn serie witte quiltjes die ik verf. Het is de tweede die ik heb gemaakt. Het is gemaakt naar aanleiding van een thema van de artquiltsaroundtheworld groep.

Encaustic

Last week I went to a 3day workshop about encaustic taught by Daniella Woolf. It was very inspirational, I learned a lot and had a great time. I will try to mix this with my quilting art some day, or maybe it will be something else? Also see Ina's blog for more pictures!
